At first, we were not so happy that Poy was not chosen to be in the top 15 scholars. And, the more we got disappointed when Ranjit won on the text votes.

Well, I have nothing against Ranjit and Ross, but honestly they have been a disappointment to - everybody (I assume…:0) Their focus was mislead by some circumstances beyond their control. And, instead of focusing on their studies they got so emotional and focused more on the relationship among their co-scholars.

I feel so sorry for them, because , they could have learned so much - if only….

I just hope that as they claim, they would be happy with their decision - to stand by their principles.

But as Direk Joey once said, on the first place, nobody forced them to join the academy.

Nevertheless, biz world and any other world is only being “dirty” because there are some people who choose to play “dirty”. But majority of the performers who have lasted long in the ‘bizness are those who are true to their selves and who have valued their talent and the chance to share it with many people more than anything else.

And now, luckily Poy is doing very good inside the academy…

Lesson: the next time you decide to do something… fight, play and stand by your decision and finish it ’til the end…

The support Laarni Losala of PDA got is really overwhelming.

Who would have thought that among Miguel, Apple and Laarni… she is the one who would gather 73% of the total votes while the two got only 13% each with just a little discrepancy that lead Apple out of the Academy!!

Lesson: Do not underestimate the voting power of the so called “masa”

Bugoy is really so refreshing and funny, last night when the mentors asked the scholars some questions regarding the perceptions that the people outside like us might have for them, Bugoy was asked if he was a gay? He just said he doesn’t mind if we think he is a gay, but for himself he is still on the process of knowing himself.So, does it mean that there is a possibility the Bugoy will come out in the open… sooner or later? Among Miguel, Apple, Laarni and Van, the scholars saved Van from probation ‘coz obviously he is more of a friend to everybody compared to the other three.

Anyway, it was then a well and good decision for the mentors - to save Bunny and the scholars - to save Van.
Because they are really the one who have improved a lot.

Regardless of the over-all ranking,  Miguel Mendoza, Van Pojas, Apple Abarquez and Laarni Losala are the nominees  and one of them will leave the academy next week.

In the face-off challenge of the Gala Performance last Saturday, two-scholars fight for the win and the loser automatically became one of the nominees.

But,  although Bunny got  the lowest grade that night, she was saved by the mentors from probation.

The overall performance of the scholars last Saturday is really not that good, and also I missed Gerald Salonga from the judges because he was sick but instead he was replaced by Jimmy Bondoc. I wonder if the set of nominees would still be the same if he was there.

Personally, I thought Bunny gave a better performance than Cris Pastor. As well as Apple versus Bugoy and Miguel against Iñaki. And I really think Iñaki should be the next to leave the academy.  (I have nothing against him, it is just my personal ranking )

Does anyone from you can still remember Iya Ginez? She is a PDA graduate and also Jay-R Siaboc’s ex-girlfriend. During the first season, Iya is very much like Laarni of season 2, the misunderstood one and more often judge because of attitude problem.

She is dubbed as the “Crying Lady” Iya was soon booted-out of the Academy, and eventually broken-up with Siaboc.

Iya is now a well-known performer in Guam. And hopefully her debut album would soon be released in Manila.

Finally, the PDA is now becoming more interesting to watch. The change in format is obvious especially during the a cappella and trio performance at last week’s Gala Performance.

We are not pleased anymore to see another ala-PBB show but instead we wanted to see real talents, and gladly the management was successful to push the scholars to focus more on performing and not on their personal issues inside the house.

On Saturday, it would surely be another exciting Gala Performance. Face-Off Challenge means a scholars who would loose to her/his opponent would automatically be on probation list.

The battle would be between:

Liezel and Laarni

Bugoy and Apple

Van and Sen

Miguel and Iñaki

Bunny and Cris

and a special showdown between Laarni and Poy.

Who is your bet?

Finally, the two admitted that they have officially been a couple since this February 2008 only. And Irish was just afraid that their relationship might affect Jay-R’s team-up with Maja Salvador especially during the peak of Kapitan Boom that’s why they keep it a secret until recently.

But anyway, it wasn’t surprising anymore if they ended up together because as far as I can remember there were already many issues linking them together even when they were still inside the PBB.

Funny, but is there a connection why Irish is so hostile to Iya Ginez before - another scholar who is Jay-r girlfriend at that time?

And what about the issue of the suspension the PDA scholars Irish, Panky and Chad got after their US tour, I am not particularly sure and correct me if I am wrong but I heard Jay-R was supposed to be suspended as well because of Irish but the ABS management gave Jay-R lesser penalty ‘coz his career is booming up at that time.
