The figures showed that whilst 2006 saw the FOS receive around 2731 complaints relating to credit cards, for 2007 this figure rocketed to 14,123 complaints.

According to recent figures released by the British Banker’s Association, the level of mortgage approvals for the month of April are the second lowest on record, coming in at only marginally higher than the all time low figure for March.
